Introduction

V.C. Bird International Airport islocated 8 kilometers northeast of St. John's, Antigua's city, and it is the only airport on this island. It's a smaller airport that caters mostly to travelers to Antigua.

It was, however, initially designed by the United States Army and still has a martial aspect to it. The airport is located on the island of Antigua. It is about 5 miles from St. John's, the main city.

While it's a simple airport to get out of once you've arrived, check-in lines for leaving guests might be long, and the landside portion of the terminal isn't air-conditioned, so arrive early and get a drink someplace while you wait for your flight.

The airport does not have a bus service. Travelers with only a small quantity of luggage, on the other hand, can try to take one of the local buses into town from the Airport Road.
